My name is Travis Tom and I'm currently a full-time art director for a small creative studio located in Aiken, SC. I specialize in iconography but also fluent in corporate identity (logos), print collateral and user-interface design (microsites). I earned my BFA in graphic design from the University of Georgia, Athens.
Several of my icon sets have been recognized in national publication annuals such as PRINT's Regional Design Annual 1998-1999 and in HOW's International Design Annual 2000.If you are interested in collaborating on a project, I'm capable of bringing in new work at my company. NEW(5.04.08) Sage Creative won 2 gold and 4 silver honors from this year's Addy awards. The 'Pickle Palooza Picnic' promotion for Mt. Olive Pickle Company and Sage's holiday card took home gold.
(11.29.06) I have 3 sets of icons featured in the design book,"1000 icons, symbols + pictograms" by BlackCoffee and published by Rockport Publishers. The icon sets are for HOW Magazine's Self-Promotion Annual 2001-2002; for Atomic Kitchen Design of Chicago for their client Hyatt Hotels "Room" icons; and for Atomic Fusion Design of Atlanta for their client Sologig.com. The set of Hyatt Hotel icons also appears in a signage book published by PIE Books in Japan.
(10.8.05)I am a contributor to design book,"The Savvy Designer's Guide to Success" by Jeff Fisher. The Creative Postcard Club tee is featured artwork in the book. The book is published by HOW Design books and is currently available at bookstores and online retailers.
