HELLO. My name is Travis Tom and I am a designer and illustrator based in Augusta, Georgia providing creative services for print, web and new media projects. I have a BFA from the University of Georgia with over 30 years of industry experience. Some of my icon projects have been published in a few industry magazines and books such as 1000 icons, symbols + pictograms by Black Coffee for Rockport Publishers (2006) and a university text book, Graphic Design Solutions, by Robin Landa (2013).
I have been working remotely as a contractor since 2010 from a home studio. Some of my collaborations include working on projects for industries in healthcare, higher education, hospitality and food and beverage to name a few. I also subcontracted with other design agencies, creative directors and marketing managers on projects ranging from global brands to large and small companies. Prior to 2010, I worked as a graphic designer for Sage Creative, Orbit Network Inc. and The Medical College of Georgia, respectively. I accepted a full time senior graphic designer position with Textron Specialized Vehicles and worked there from October 2023-December 2024. When the company issued a workforce reduction, my position was terminated and I decided to jump back into the freelance world.
I am pursuing new assignments and hoping to establish long term collaborations.
